In the following pictures I went to purchase some boards to form up and pour concrete columns
for the new church building. The owner sent his son to buy a length of string. When he
returned with the string, the man searched the ground around the house until he found an old
"C" size battery. With a machete, he cut the end off of the battery and proceeded to empty out
the carbon into a plastic cup. He then added water and dunked the string into the cup. With the
string he "struck" a black line on the boards and with his very large chainsaw, he sawed the
boards in to two pieces to make the size we needed. I have to remind myself how primitive things
are here.
